Mr. King received a B.A. degree in accounting from Michigan State University, a J.D. degree from Cooley Law School, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law.
Mr. King was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1986 (no longer admitted in Michigan), the Florida Bar in 1988, and the Illinois Bar in 1988 (no longer admitted in Illinois). Mr. King is a Certified Public Accountant (Michigan, inactive status). Mr. King has taught federal taxation at the University of South Florida, College of Business as an adjunct professor, and he has served as a board member for several local not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. King's passions include aviation and backpacking. He is an instrument rated private pilot and welcomes any opportunity to fly. When on the ground, Mr. King is an avid backpacker who has backpacked over 3,500 miles including the entire Appalachian Trail, portions of the Colorado Trail, and various trails and routes in California's Sierra Nevada mountains.
